Your child will have the opportunity to meet their teacher on Tuesday August 25th 11-11:30am at Oka Elementary! Teacher assignments will be live in the Aeries Parent Portal as long as you have done the data confirmation process for your child before hand. We are so excited to see all of our amazing students and welcome them back the Wolfpack for the 2026-17 school year!

Families are encouraged to review the updated household income guidelines and submit an application when needed.
Fountain Valley School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. For the 2026–27 school year, children may qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on household income or participation in certain assistance programs.

Fountain Valley, CA, July 20, 2026: Fountain Valley School District is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Lisa Tanita as the new Director, Educational Services, pending Board approval at the August 13, 2026, meeting. 


During her tenure at Courreges, Principal Tanita has been a cornerstone of the school’s success, known for her student-centered leadership, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to the "Cougar" community. While her daily presence at the school site will be missed, her promotion to the District level will allow her to impact educational programs, curriculum, and student achievement across all FVSD campuses.

Fountain Valley, CA, July 20, 2026: Fountain Valley School District is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Kiva Spiratos as New Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services following a rigorous hiring and interview process. Her appointment is pending Board approval at the upcoming August 13, 2026, meeting.

Fountain Valley, CA, June 29, 2026: Fountain Valley School District is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Tandy Taylor as the new Director, Student Services and Safety, pending Board approval at the August 13, 2026, meeting. She brings an extensive and diverse background in educational leadership, student advocacy, and systemic safety initiatives.

Ms. Taylor joins FVSD from the Cypress School District, where she currently serves as Executive Director, Educational Services, and previously held the role of Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
