Welcome

Mrs. Harrell grew up in a small beach community a couple of hours north of Orange County.  She knew from an early age that she would like to be an elementary school teacher.   After graduating with a degree in Sociology from University of California Santa Barbara, she attended Concordia University, Irvine, to earn her teaching credential.  She then married into a family of teachers.  Both of her in-laws taught in Huntington Beach for many years, and her husband and brothers-in-law are teachers as well.  Mrs. Harrell has taught first, second, third, and fourth grades here at Oka, but most of her time has been in first and second grades.
